Digital Texts
Digital texts are resources to use to get students interested in reading. They can be games, digitized versions of reading texts such as books, and activities that get students to improve on their reading skills. But it can also be resources for teachers to use in their classroom, such as worksheets, printable materials and passages of writing for student to read and reflect upon. The resources beyond offer a list of resources and also some tell on how to integrate digital texts within the classroom to assist Students learning in reading.

- Using Digital Texts in the Classroom by Scholastic - This is a scholastic blog on using digital texts in the classroom. It is an excellent resource to use when learning about digital texts and how to use them within the classroom. It also links you to digital texts you can use in the classroom, as well as linking students to books to read.
- Reading Eggs - This resource allows for a place where kids can practice reading with phonics games and reading activities. It allows for reading to become and gets student both reading and playing games that gets them interested in doing more. This resource does require payment to use but can be a fun opportunity for students who are unwilling to read to develop their reading skills.
- Reading A to Z - This resource offers resources to use, such as lesson plans, activities, and resources such as cue card and worksheets that can be used within the classroom. It offers a large collection of level reading books that can assist in improving students reading abilities. This is a resources that your board or school can invest in to allow students the opportunity to read at their level using anchor standards for reading, also struggling readers love this.
- K12 Reader - This resource that runs from k-12 allowing students to work on their reading and writing skills. It is directed towards improving students reading ability, but also gets students to write their thoughts and ideas they learned from reading. This resource offer a large collection of resources for teachers to use to improve students reading and writing abilities, but also item to print to set up teachers with materials such as reading logs, and rewards.
- Readworks -This resource offers lesson and unit plans for teachers to use when teaching lessons on reading books. This resource is great to use for kindergarten to grade six. It contains lessons with worksheets for student to do, but also worksheets contain passages for students to read and answer question to build on students comprehension skills in reading.
